The PMIP3-CMIP5 data is distributed through the ESGF nodes. You can go directly to any ESGF node and start searching/downloading data. Each node will let you search the content of all the other nodes, so you only need to pick up the node that is closest to you

• IPSL node - France
• PCMDI node - USA
• … links to the other nodes are available on the IPSL and PCMDI nodes

1. Find out the names of the variables you need
2. Locate the closest ESGF P2P Front-End
3. Determine which required variables are actually available in the database
4. Create a wget script
5. Create a CMIP5 account
6. Download the data
